The right website and CMS can transform the way that brands manage their digital communication to create maximum exposure and an optimised customer journey. We worked with Irish Life Investment Managers, market leaders in providing investment solutions for a wide range of institutional clients, to do exactly that.

ILIM were established in 1939 and have since developed a reputation for putting their clients first and delivering the highest quality of investment solutions. With that in mind, we wanted to create a modernised web presence that would correctly position ILIM as dynamic, innovative, thought leaders in the industry and, ultimately, help attract new business from both domestic and international markets.
By ‘beginning with the end in mind’, we used Umbraco to meet all of ILIM's current objectives but also ensure future functional requirements were taken into consideration from day one.
Umbraco allowed us to easily develop re-usable components, forms and flexible template layouts to establish a future-proofed build. In addition, a bespoke Funds and associated documents section was developed to allow visitors to search, filter and export Fund related documents. This was one of the most crucial parts of the ILIM website as it's a tool that users visit for daily updates, so it was important to make sure that it was developed with a lot of focus to allow for automatic data feeds and a seamless user experience.
As part of the technical build, we carried out a URL mapping exercise to ensure search engines recognised the value of the new site and existing visitors were able to access the new site without issue.
The design of the site was inspired by ILIM's need to speak to an international market whilst retaining their local roots. The creative approach meant that the look and feel of the site truly positions the investment management firm as a modern-day brand with a forward-thinking approach.

We supported the launch of the website with an email marketing campaign to drive traffic to the new site and inform existing customers of the new tools available to them. Attention driven design was key in the design of the email, so we opted for a minimalistic and modern look to keep consistency with the website and focus on the CTA.
A content managed website allows brands to keep their content fresh and be able to quickly adapt to changes in business strategy and/or conditions. Our maintenance plan for ILIM has been designed to further support ongoing activity and allows for the use of time in a very flexible way:

Applying regular security patches, CMS updates and server maintenance.
