the weaving shed unveiled
Ian Kirkby, Scott Millar and Arlene Bremner of the graphic design team at LEWIS were delighted to attend their client, Eildon Group's, official opening of their new headquarters, The Weaving Shed, in Selkirk yesterday.
LEWIS Creative Consultants was commissioned to create a brand identity for The Weaving Shed, previously a Victorian mill that remained derelict until 2006 when Eildon commissioned the design team to bring it back to life. As part of the regeneration project, LEWIS was also asked to produce The Weaving Shed's full range of signage including wayfinding, exterior panels, reception display and entrance signs.
Marking his remarkable 27 year tenure with the Group, The Shed was opened by the Group's now ex-Chairman, Bill Wilkie (pictured centre), who stood down as Chairman at this year's AGM.
Chief Executive of Eildon, Peter Lee, said of working with LEWIS on the project, "We were keen to work with LEWIS on the Weaving Shed branding and signage project. Their design philosophy and the ability to deliver work of the highest quality on time and to budget was essential to the project's success. The final result is exactly in keeping with the aspirations of the Eildon Group."
